BuyAware is an interdisciplinary association by students of various Swiss high schools and universities.
The aim is to educate consumers about the ethical and ecological background of electronic products by means of an all-in-one rating in order to enable more reflective and sustainable buying decisions. In addition, BuyAware organises events around the topic of sustainable electronics.
Through a temporary patronage of the Impulsfabrik, BuyAware is able to hold events at the University of Zurich and advertise its efforts, although it has yet to receive definitive accreditation from the UZH. The Impulsfabrik supports BuyAware to find its place at the UZH with regard to rights and obligations as a student association and also with regard to its possibilities of advertising at the University of Zurich or obtaining rooms for its events.
BuyAware was under the patronage of the VSUZH Impulsfabrik from 2017 to 2020.
